Listing & Verification Policy

Applies to: All Users of the IndusFact platform (indusfact.com) — sellers, buyers, and browsers. Legal Entity: IndusFact B2B Solutions

This Listing & Verification Policy explains how listings work on IndusFact, who can post what, how we moderate, and how our verification tiers protect the marketplace. It supplements our Terms & Conditions, Ad Submission Terms, and Privacy Policy. Where anything here conflicts with those documents, the T&C prevails.

1. What can be listed on IndusFact

IndusFact is a strictly B2B industrial marketplace. Only goods, equipment, and services with a legitimate industrial use are permitted.

1.1 Allowed listing types

• Sell — you are the owner (or authorised agent) offering an industrial asset for sale.

• Wanted — you are actively looking to buy or hire a specific industrial asset.

• Rent — you are offering an industrial asset for time-bound rental with a stated daily / weekly / monthly rate.

• Service — you are a service provider offering industrial services such as AMC, fabrication & job work, calibration & testing, installation, erection & commissioning, design engineering, prototyping, or industrial consultancy & compliance, with a clearly-stated pricing model and response time.

1.2 Allowed categories

• Machinery and machine tools (CNC, VMC, HMC, lathes, presses, injection moulding, etc.)

• Spares, tooling, and consumables

• Raw materials and industrial inputs

• Material-handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, conveyors, hoists)

• Testing, measurement and calibration equipment

• Industrial electronics and control gear

• Power and generation equipment (gensets, transformers, UPS systems)

• Workshop and safety equipment

• Agri-processing and food-processing equipment (for factories and plantations)

• Complete plant / factory sales

1.3 Not allowed — will be removed on sight

• Personal electronics, mobile phones, laptops, home appliances, clothing, cosmetics, jewellery, furniture, decor

• Cars, bikes, or any personal vehicles (industrial forklifts, cranes, and JCBs are fine)

• Residential real estate (industrial plots and factory sales are allowed)

• Consumer-grade hand tools sold in retail packs

• Livestock, food, pharmaceuticals, agricultural produce

• Firearms, weapons, weapon parts, ammunition

• Radioactive material, restricted chemicals, or anything requiring specialised regulatory clearance without proof of licence

• Counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise illegal goods

• Anything violating Indian law, export control laws, or the Ad Submission Terms

If you're unsure whether an item is B2B-industrial enough, email moderation@indusfact.com with a photo and short description before you list. We usually respond within one business day.

2. Submission and moderation

2.1 Every listing is human-reviewed

IndusFact does not publish listings automatically. Every submission is read by a real moderator on our team before it goes live. This keeps the marketplace clean of scams, spam, and mis-categorised posts. In turn, we ask you to submit complete, honest, and correctly-categorised listings — it's the fastest way for your ad to reach buyers.

2.2 Review SLA

• First response: within 24–48 hours of submission on working days.

• Complex cases (unusual category, missing documentation, suspected duplicate) may take up to 5 business days.

• If your listing hasn't been actioned in 48 hours on a working day, write to moderation@indusfact.com with your listing title.

2.3 Possible moderation outcomes

2.4 Content requirements at submission

• Title: must clearly describe the item — make, model, year, and key spec. No sensational language, ALL-CAPS, phone numbers, or promotional slogans in the title.

• Description: at least 40 words. State condition (new / refurbished / used-good / used-fair), specifications, and any known defects.

• Photos: minimum 3 real photos of the actual item from different angles. Stock images or images copied from other listings will be rejected.

• Location: state, city, and (if applicable) industrial area / hub.

• Price: in INR, either an absolute price or a clear Contact for Price option. Add applicable taxes / GST separately if relevant.

2.5 Auto-watermarking of your media

When you upload photos or videos, IndusFact automatically applies a small IndusFact watermark. This protects your images from being lifted and reused on WhatsApp groups or competing sites without your knowledge. This watermark is intentional and does not degrade your listing quality. You may not remove or add your own watermarks (per Ad Submission Terms clause 3.2).

2.6 AI-assisted metadata

IndusFact automatically generates SEO metadata (title tags, meta descriptions, image alt text) for your listing to help it appear on Google. You can override any AI-generated field manually before publishing.

3. Ongoing rules once your listing is live

3.1 Duration

• Standard live duration: 60 days from approval.

• Renewal: you may extend for another 60-day period before or shortly after expiry.

• Automatic archival: unrenewed listings move to an "expired" state after 60 days. Expired listings remain in your dashboard for 90 days for re-activation, then are archived permanently.

3.2 Response obligation

Sellers must respond to buyer inquiries via the platform inbox within 48 hours. Sellers who repeatedly fail to respond:

• Lose eligibility for premium promotion tags (Urgent Ad, Featured, etc.)

• Drop in search-result ranking

• May be flagged for moderator review

3.3 Gated contact information

Do not paste phone numbers, WhatsApp links, or email addresses inside your listing title or description. IndusFact reveals seller contact to buyers only after a real inquiry via the built-in Contact Seller tool. This is a core feature — it protects sellers from cold-callers and buyers from scam listings. Ads that bypass this by putting contact details in the description will be edited or removed.

3.4 Edits

You may edit your listing anytime. Substantial edits (price change > 20%, major spec change, category change) may re-enter light moderation.

3.5 Promotions and premium features

Certain listing enhancements are paid — for example, Urgent Ad, Featured Ad, Top-of-Category placement, and Ad Packs. Fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy. Points earned via cashback, referrals, and login streaks can offset premium fees per our Rewards Terms.

4. Seller Verification — our trust tiers

Verification is how we tell buyers "this seller has proven who they are." Verified sellers get better visibility, are filtered-in when buyers turn on "Verified sellers only", and enjoy higher confidence on high-value transactions.

4.1 Verification levels currently live

Additional verification tiers (MSME, ISO, and physical-visit verified) are on our roadmap. When they launch, existing GST-verified sellers keep their current badge and can add the new one on top.

4.2 Submitting for GST verification

• Go to Dashboard → Verification Center and enter your 15-digit GSTIN.

• Ensure the legal name on your GSTIN certificate matches the name / company on your IndusFact profile.

• Upload a scan of your GST Registration Certificate (RC). Files must be JPG, PNG, or PDF, under 5 MB.

• We review within 2–5 business days. You'll receive an email once decided.

4.3 What the badge unlocks

• 🟢 Green GST Verified badge shown next to your name on every listing, blog author byline, and profile.

• Appear in "Verified sellers only" filter results.

• Eligible for higher-tier promotions (Featured Ad, Top-of-Category).

• Priority moderation queue — your future listings are reviewed faster.

4.4 What verification does NOT mean

• IndusFact verifies your identity as a business, not the quality, safety, condition, or legality of any individual item you list. Every buyer is expected to conduct independent due diligence before transacting.

• IndusFact is not a party to your transaction. See Terms & Conditions §4 (Role & Liability).

4.5 Losing your verification badge

Your GST-verified status may be revoked if:

• Your GSTIN is cancelled or suspended by the GST department.

• Multiple valid grievances are filed against you for misrepresentation, non-delivery, or bait-and-switch.

• You post listings that violate §1.3 (prohibited items) more than twice.

• You transfer, share, or sell your account to someone else.

Revocation is a moderator decision, appealable per §7.

4.6 Re-verification

If you re-obtain a valid GSTIN or resolve the grievance that led to revocation, you may re-apply after 30 days. Re-verification follows the same process in §4.2.

5. What happens when someone reports a listing

Any user can report a listing they believe violates this Policy, the Ad Submission Terms, or Indian law.

• How to report: tap Report this listing on the ad page, or email moderation@indusfact.com with the listing URL and reason.

• Our SLA per IT Rules, 2021: we will acknowledge the report within 24 hours and act on it within 36 hours for unlawful content, or 15 days for other grievances.

• What we may do: remove the listing, request corrections from the seller, warn the seller, suspend the seller's ability to post, revoke verification, or refer the matter to law enforcement.

Frivolous or bulk-reporting to harass a competitor is itself a violation and may result in restrictions on the reporter's account.

6. Account-level enforcement

Repeated violations of this Policy escalate as follows:

1. First violation — the listing is removed or edited, and you receive an explanation.

2. Second violation — a written warning; your listings enter enhanced-review mode (all future posts get closer moderator scrutiny).

3. Third violation — 30-day suspension of the ability to post new listings; verification badge revoked.

4. Fourth violation — permanent account termination; existing listings archived; no re-registration under the same PAN / GSTIN / mobile / email allowed.

Serious single violations (posting counterfeit / stolen goods, listing prohibited items in §1.3, or attempting to scam buyers) may skip straight to Step 3 or Step 4 at moderator discretion.

7. Appeals

If your listing was rejected, edited unfairly, or your verification was revoked, you may appeal.

• How: email moderation@indusfact.com within 7 days of the decision, with your listing URL / user ID and a short explanation.

• Response time: we aim to respond within 5 business days.

• Second-level escalation: if you're not satisfied, escalate to our Grievance Officer (§8). Their decision is final at the platform level; you retain all other legal rights.

8. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

• Resolution: within 15 days.

9. Changes to this Policy

We update this Policy occasionally to reflect new features, legal changes, or lessons from moderation. Material changes are announced via in-app notice and email to registered users at least 7 days before they take effect. The current version and effective date are always shown at the top of this page.
